BLAIR GEORGE DOUGLASS (Douglas) (b. 1795?).
George Douglass Blair was the son of William Blair and Sarah Douglass, of the Waxhaws region of Lancaster District.He was the brother of United States Representative General James Blair (1790-1834) of Kershaw District. Blair attended South Carolina College and graduated with a B.A. in 1818. Admitted to the Columbia bar in 1821 he practiced law in Camden. Blair represented Lancaster District in the Twenty-sixth (1824-1825) General Assembly and was a member of the committees on education (1824-1825) and privileges and elections (1824-1825). In 1850 Blair resided in Kershaw District and owned seven slaves. In 1834 he and his sister Dorcas Blair left the state and settled in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
