James Bruce

James Bruce married a second time after the death of this wife Mary Terry. The wedding to Malinda Beckham took place in 1853. There were ten children born to this marriage, but only three lived to the age of marriage.

The raiders of Sherman's army burned his home in his absence, for he had taken his wife, who was expecting, to the home of his daughter Nancy.
