bullet  General Notes:

Frank Komlosy of New York has a copy of the Hungarian birth/baptismal certificate for Ferenc(z) Xavier Komlossy. The translation into English was performed by a professional translator, who provided these additional notes", based on the information he gleaned from the Hungarian birth certificate and from the German death announcement for Johanna Komolsy:

"Translator's notes: The form is Hungarian, the registration Latin. The child's name in Hungarian is Ferenc(z) Xavier Karoly, just like his father, also Ferenc(z) Komlossy. A noble family, with German ancestry on the mother's side. Sadly, it is impossible to read the mother's name, but the death announcement that we have for her supplies this information.

The family was noble. The original spelling was probably Komlossy, from Kanizsa (Ujkanizsa or Torokkanizsa) in Transylvania. They were Roman Catholics, fans of the Jesuits, judging by the name Xavier. Later they moved to Schrabatz, wherever that might have been, either in Austria or Germany."
