His will is recorded in Lancaster County, South Carolina and requested the removal of his first wifes body from the Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery to be buried by his side at Salem.
Although ther is a stone marker at the Salem Cemetery marking the grave of his first wife, her body remains at the Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
William married Mary Jane Bruce, daughter of James Bruce and Malinda Beckham, on 28 Oct 1880. (Mary Jane Bruce was born on 22 May 1862, died on 3 Apr 1888 and was buried in Salem Cemetery, Heath Springs, SC.)
William next married Lillie R. Robertson on 2 Dec 1894. (Lillie R. Robertson was born on 4 Jun 1860 and died on 9 Jun 1925.)
