The State of South Carolina Beaufort District
To all persons unto whom these presents shall come. Greeting. Whereas I William Youmans of St. Peters Parish in the State and District aforesaid I lawfully seized and possessed of in my own right of the following I have Negroes to wit. T___ Limrick, Vianna, Frank, Liddy, [Naomi?] Bob Jacob, Caroline Nancy Jane.Also my lands and stocks Cattle hogs and horses and household furniture Now Know Ye and all Men by these presents that I the said William Youmans for divers good causes and valuable considerations me hereunto moving have thought proper and as my own right and for the good will and affection which I do bear for my beloved Wife Mary Youmans and the children I have lawfully begotten by her as Levi John, William Robert, Thomas, Elizabeth, Sarah, Ann Mary, James Levicey now living I do hereby give all the above mentioned property to my beloved wife during her natural life and after her decease to be the property of my Children Viz Levi, John, William, Robert, Thomas Elizabeth Sarah Ann Mary James Levicey to be equally divided between them my said Children to share and share alike I do hereby these Presents give grant and confirm unto my loved Wife Mary Youmans the above Negroes Viz T___, Limrick, Vianna, Frank, Liddy, Nancy, Nar__ Bob, Jacob, Caroline, Jane and their increase Also all my Land and Stock Cattle Hogs and Horses and Household furniture to be equally divided to share and share alike and to them their heirs and assigns forever after the decease of my beloved wife Mary Youmans and for the faithful execution of this Deed and the Property therein given as therein described I do hereby appoint my loving Sons Levi and William Youmans of the District aforesaid Trustees for my Wife and remaining children above named for the full and sure conveyance of said Lands and negroes as above named to my Wife and Children above named to be for them and their use I do hereby deliver the said Land Negroes and all property herein mentioned unto the possession of my Wife Mary Youmans and my trusty Sons Levi and William Youmans.____ In Testimony Whereof I have hereby set my hand and Seal this 24 day of February in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Four and in the fifty Eighth Year of American Independence. N. P. the above named James is excepted to Levicey & confirmed by a former gift.

In Presence of us Stephen Youmans Levi Youmans South Carolina } Wm Stewart Beaufort District } Personally appeared before me M W Buckner __William Stewart who being duly sworn deposed and sayeth that he was present and saw William Youmans sign seal and deliver the within Deed for all the Purposes therein mentioned and that Stephen Youmans and Levi Youmans together with himself signed the same as witnessed...Sworn to before me this 28 July 1834 M W Buckner J.
