  General Notes:

Captain Levi Youmans, comissioned 24 August, 1779.

Captain Youmans Company was in Savannah, Georgia on 1 December, 1779.


Levy had two sons, John was a Preacher, but William must have been the oldest son and lived in the Black Creek Community. William was born in 1777, he and his wife are buried in the Old Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Levy is said to have been kinsman to Governor Sir John Yeamans of South Carolina.

Levy married Nancy Unknown in 1775. (Nancy Unknown was born in 1757.)
