Died on the 9th of December, 1855 at her residence of Her Husband, in St. Peter's Parish, Beaufort District, South Carolina. Mary Manker wife of James Maker, in the 73 year of her age. Born in St. Augustine, Florida on the 19th October, 1783, and yet as a child removed with her father, Levy Youmans, to Beaufort District, South Carolina in which she resided until her death. She was married to James Manker, on the 14th of September 1797, under 14 years of age and gave birth to her only child before she was 15.
